<image:title>Work - PUBLIC ART: Board Game & Neighborhood Mural for the Tucson Solar Commons</image:title>
<image:caption>Students at University of Arizona School of Art, working with children in the Tucson Urban League’s preschool and afterschool programs, have created the public art for the Tucson Solar Commons. In fall of 2019, a Solar Commons Board Game will be introduced into schools of Tucson’s Garden District neighborhood, which is the beneficiary of the Tuscon Solar Commons. The Board Game teaches principles of commoning (sustainably sharing and caring for the gifts of nature) and solar commoning (being a beneficiary neighborhood of a Solar Commons project). The game and the neighborhood community playing the game will become the basis for a mural and other art-making in the Garden District neighborhood. The public art work is the DEED of EQUITABLE TITLE that the Garden District neighborhood holds as beneficiaries of the Solar Commons Trust. The public art and gaming makes public and visible how this neighborhood has become the owner of the sun’s commonwealth energy benefits through their role as the beneficiary of the Tucson Solar Commons. Look for more postings and images about the Solar Commons Game and art work here in the near future.
